ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
St. Vincient de Paul Society is an international Catholic organization of lay persons that seeks, in a spirit of justice and charity and by person-to-person involvement, to help the poor. They make emergency food available, and visit St Charles Hospital and area nursing homes on Sunday. For more information contact Leonard Wasserman (419)691-5926.
HOPSITAL VOLUNTEER
Area hospitals have a need of volunteers transporting patients, working in the gift shop, distributing Eucharist, and in other areas. To volunteer in one of our area hospitals call on of the following:

ST. LOUIS HELPING HANDS
St. Louis Helping Hands provides food service for the poor and needy. Food is prepared and the kitchen is staffed by St. Ignatius parishioners on the third MOnday of each month. To volunteer call Helen TenEyck (419)693-8536.
FRIENDLY VISITOR
Friendly Visitors provides support to parishioners who because of age or illness are confined to their homes, nursing homes or assisted living. Parishioners are asked to inform the parish of a hombound family member or neighbor, so tha tour parish family can stay connected and provide ministry as needed. Volunteers make visits and bring the Eucharist. Bulletins are mailed to those who are hombound. Call the parish office with information about a hombound parishioner or to volunteer for this ministry. CARING COOKS
Caring Cooks offer meals, on a short term basis, to elderly or sick parishioners who cannot cook for themselves. Please call the parish office for additional information or to volunteer for this ministry (419)693-1150.
WOMEN BLESSING WOMEN
Women Blessing Women exists to serve, bless and empower women to acheive their potential, obtain living wage jobs and break the cycle of poverty. GOOD SAMARITAN PARISHIONERS
Parishioners are invited to prepare casseroles for St. Louis Helping Hands in Toledo. Pans an recipes are provided quarterly. For more information call the parish office at (419)693-1150.
FUNERAL LUNCHEON TEAM
Parishioners who serve ameal in the parish hall for a deceased parishioner's family and friends after the funeral. Please contack Ruth Birk coordinator for more information (419)693-8216.
WELCOMING TEAM
The welcoming team contacts newly registered families or individuals to welcome them into the parish community and to acquaint them with parish ministries and programs. Contact FAther Mark Herzog for more information at (419)693-1150.
NURSING HOME VISITATION
St. Ignatius Parish is responsible for the spiritual care of the clients of Heartland Nursing home on Navarre Ave. Volunteers take Communion to the home every Friday and Mass is offered on the fourth Friday of each month at 10:30 a.m. To volunteer for this ministry please call Sister Beth at (419)693-7662.
PARISH NURSE MINISTRY
Parish nurse ministry promotes health and healing as part of the mission and ministry of St. Ignatius Parish . Currently parish nurses offer blood pressure screening on the fourth Sunday of the month. Kitty Hughes coordinates this ministry (419)697-7649.
GIVING TREE
The giving tree is St. Ignatius' Advent outreach to poor families. On the First Sunday of Advent the Giving Tree is displayed in church. Tags on the tree indicate family needs or items needed to help needy families. Parishioners are invited to take a tag from the tree and purchase the gifts, returning them to the church for distribution.
