ANOINTING OF THE SICK Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing, celebrated at the time of any serious health issue. Anyone who is seriously ill, preparing for surgery, of advanced age, or who suffers chronic serious illness may receive this sacrament. A communal celebration of the Sacrament of Anointing is held in October and May.
